Skin: Are your legs ready for summer?
Spring has arrived and it’s almost time to throw on a cute skirt or dress and put those stockings away for another year and welcome summer. Before we do that, we need to get our legs ready for the exposure!
There’s nothing worse then trying on a cute spring outfit and being put off by your pasty white winter legs! In winter, the cold and windy weather dries out our skin so we need to give our skin a good exfoliation, I recommend using an exfoliation mitt which you can find for around $10 at your local supermarket; or if you feel like splurging then try Pure Fiji’s Sugar Rub which uses real sugar to exfoliate and hydrate skin.
Secondly, a natural looking tan is a must. I’ve recently tried Garnier’s Ambre Solaire No Streaks Bronzer Tinted Self-Tan Gel and I love it! Because it has gel consistency it dries within 60 seconds and you’re able to get dressed straight after tanning.
When I tried it I was wearing white and it did discolour my clothes a little, but came out in the wash, therefore I would recommend wearing darker clothes post-tan. The tan is a soft honey hue and has a tinted formula with iridescent mother-of-pearl particles so it’s easy to see where you have been.
I used my tan before I went to bed so it could process overnight and then showered in the morning to remove the tint and smell.
The self-tan retails at $20.49 and I definitely think it’s well worth the money. It can be purchased from leading supermarkets, pharmacies and department stores. And as always, make sure you wash your hands after tanning!!
