Reader Review: Using the Lumia 800 for Uni

So I've had a lot of fun playing with my new Nokia Lumia 800 over the past couple of weeks. There are so many great ways you can personalise the phone, your home page has your Facebook and twitter updates, you can save your favourite photos that are online onto your camera roll to set as your screen saver & you can choose the tones for all the different notifications you get.

But one of the best features I have found on the phone so far is the Microsoft Office app that comes installed on the phone. Because the Lumia 800 is a Windows phone, you can upload documents from your laptop to your SkyDrive or Gmail accounts and then edit them using Word, Excel, PowerPoint or OneNote on your phone.

The graphics are as good as using a tablet or a laptop & the predictive texting definitely helps keep your spelling in check! This feature is great at Uni as you are able to download your lecture slides straight to your phone and make notes on them during class. You can use it alongside a pen and paper or just take your phone along to save space. It's awesome!

#27smile22/09/201209:11wow definetly more versital then i thought :) it seems light years ahead of most basic smart phones possibly even better then the new iphone 5 - can you read books on it or probably just texts sounds so simple to be able to get your twitter updates and facebook but its also so compact no one would know you were looking at the internet or reading a word document, would fully help when tranfering docs to and from class' to your computer at home :)Great review Uni student
#26luvblaze22/09/201208:34This sounds amazing! At school we use portable devices everywhere to do homework, tasks or even fun stuff when the teacher's out of the room ;) It will also be super easy to type on when you get used to it, so you could be tapping out a whole paragraph within minutes, and then all you have to do is spell check it. Thanks for giving us the chance to win one, Kimberley :)
#25ozki22/09/201200:43It sounds really easy to use - which i need as am yet to have smart phone
#24missnicole21/09/201223:57Being a uni student it sounds awesome.! I've been thinking about getting a tablet of some sort but this sounds better because I'd be able to just chuck things between phone and computer. It'd give me more flexibility to use the applications and the annoying moments in between classes will be solved by reading over essays and changing little spelling mistakes etc that I may have missed. sounds awesome!
#23BreatheSummerBay21/09/201222:25Microsoft Office on a phone is exactly what I need! I use it so often on the computer and it would be great to have it on a portable device. It will be so much more convenient! Love how there is a camera roll to set as screensavers too!
