Reader Review: Using the Lumia 800 for Uni
So I've had a lot of fun playing with my new Nokia Lumia 800 over the past couple of weeks. There are so many great ways you can personalise the phone, your home page has your Facebook and twitter updates, you can save your favourite photos that are online onto your camera roll to set as your screen saver & you can choose the tones for all the different notifications you get.
But one of the best features I have found on the phone so far is the Microsoft Office app that comes installed on the phone. Because the Lumia 800 is a Windows phone, you can upload documents from your laptop to your SkyDrive or Gmail accounts and then edit them using Word, Excel, PowerPoint or OneNote on your phone.
The graphics are as good as using a tablet or a laptop & the predictive texting definitely helps keep your spelling in check! This feature is great at Uni as you are able to download your lecture slides straight to your phone and make notes on them during class. You can use it alongside a pen and paper or just take your phone along to save space. It's awesome!
