Reader Review: Play time with Lumia 800
I was so stoked when I found out that I would get to test drive the Nokia Lumia 800. The new phone arrived yesterday and I was so excited to get it out of the box and start setting it up. I’m so grateful that the battery doesn’t take too long to charge because I wanted to start playing with it straight away!
I was a bit nervous about getting my phone set up because the Lumia 800 uses the new MicroSIM and my old phone had an old sim card in it but the customer service team at Vodafone made it so easy to switch my phone number to the MicroSIM, it was all done over the phone in less than a couple of minutes. The Lumia 800 has an awesome feature called the contacts transfer wizard which allows you to send all your contacts from your old phone onto the Lumia via Bluetooth, so you don’t lose any of your friend’s numbers. I could also send all my favourite photos from my old phone to the Lumia 800 through Bluetooth, so I can still have my favourite wallpaper as my background.
Over the next couple of days I’m looking forward to downloading some apps to play on, the first will definitely be Facebook!
Today was such a gorgeous day in Wellington so I went for a walk up to the Botanical Gardens and snapped this gorgeous shot of the cable car and Wellington Harbour. The camera is 8 megapixels so the quality is awesome. You can’t beat Welly on a good day!
