Reader Review: First impressions

Getting a new phone is all about the first impressions, setting it up and making the phone your own.

The first time using the Lumia 800, I had to go through a series of steps getting it set up and connected to various networks, including creating a Windows LIVE account. Whilst this was time-consuming, it helps with the all round connectivity of the phone and betters the experience.

Then came the fun part: choosing my ringtones and changing my backgrounds. I was able to get files from my social networking sites and save them to my phone so I had all my wonderful friends covering my wallpapers. I also changed the colour scheme to purple (my favourite colour) and black as Nokia happily reminded me that black schemes save more battery than white.

The phone comes with two necessary add-ons; headphones and a silicone protector case. The case was black, which made me not want it on as the white phone was too pretty to hide! I haven’t managed to scratch the phone or anything though, which is good.

Check out the pic I took on the Lumia 800 above of one of my favourite trends for this season pastels.

I guess all the time-consuming setup if really worth it when you are using this phone, so that you can get the best out of it which is a lot.
