Auckland Lantern Festival

This annual event celebrates the Chinese New Year – this year being The Year of The Dragon. Check out all of the lights at Albert Park, Princes St in Auckland Central – from the 3rd to the 5th of February at 5pm until 10.30pm – best part? It’s free!!

 

Waitangi Day Celebration

One of the many events celebrating our nations holiday! On Monday the 6th of February, Barry Curtis Park on Chapel Rd in Flat Bush will be taken over with activities – celebrating with education, culture and entertainment. The city’s largest Waitangi Day event includes a awesome line-up of acts including Kiwi reggae legends Katchafire and international success David Dallas, plus many more. Check out the day on from 10am-6pm and it’s free!

 

NZ Fashion Festival 2012

Remember the awesome folks that bring you fashionista’s NZ Fashion Week in September? Well the team is here, for the third year running - bringing you a festival full of everything you could want – fashion shows, daily seminars on hair, beauty & style, and the famous Designer Garage Sale. The event runs from 24th Feb until 4th March at Shed 10 on Queen’s Wharf. Check out nzfashionfestival.com for more!

 

NZ International Arts Festival 2012

The International Arts Festival is taking place in Wellington, running from 24th February until 18th March. The festival has activities and events for everybody – ranging from Dance to Music, Theatre to Writers & Readers, and Visual Arts. For all the information on what’s on check out festival.co.nz.
