We ask kiwi singer Ruby Frost to fill us in on her fashion style, favourite trends and what she likes to see on boys.

Describe your personal style

Glittery, shimmery, magical things paired up with with my tomboy boots and jackets.

Who are some major fashion influences in your life?

I get inspired by watching movies and wanting to turn into the characters. Movies like The Neverending Story, Edward Scissorhands, The Royal Tenenbaums, The Labyrinth… who have interesting people in them.

What is your favourite fashion motto that you always follow?

Only wear something if you feel good in it, otherwise you will have a horrendous time!

What is one trend you love at the moment?

I love that it’s kind of okay to dress up like it’s the 90s again, with massive platform shoes and bold colours and prints everywhere.

What trends do you love seeing on boys?

Turtle-neck sweaters, they make boys look very intelligent!
