About Me
Name: Kimberley Frances Crossman
D.O.B: 24th May 1988
Occupation: Actress. I am currently working on Shortland Street as the character Sophie McKay. I have been there since 2006 and loving it.
School: Diocesan School for Girls, Auckland. I was the Deputy Head Girl in 2006. At school I took subjects such as drama and dance as well as the usual core subjects like English & Maths.
Hobbies:
Dancing - My mum is a ballet teacher and I have been dancing since I was 2 ½ and continued to train in ballet, jazz, hip hop, tap and contemporary throughout my life. I have always had a passion for dancing and love participating in workshops and some of the most amazing experiences I’ve had was doing intensive workshops with Christina Aguilera and Justin Timberlake's dancers in 2007.
Cheerleading - I also do competitive cheerleading. I train with Total Cheerleading New Zealand. We train all year round and compete in America or Australia each year, as well as a few New Zealand competitions. 2008 saw our team take out the Down Under Spirit Championships on the Gold Coast. Our next project is to compete at Worlds in 2009 in Florida.
Drama - I am currently also doing an 80 week drama course to further my acting and to learn valuable acting techniques in a class environment. In conjunction with this I've almost finished a presenting workshop with Paulus Romijn. I have thoroughly enjoyed the 8 week programme and have learnt so much about presenting, interviewing and techniques to assist in the art of presenting.
